Living Will

A Living Will (Adavanced Directive) is a personal, legal directive to healthcare providers setting forth your wishes regarding artificially prolonging your life. Aside from simply directing doctors and hospitals when to “pull the plug”, a properly drafted Living Will should address other options and mandates including “Do Not Resuscitate Orders” (“DNRs”), use of pain killers, experimental treatments, use of a feeding tube, appointment of a healthcare representative, dealing with non-compliant hospitals, and other issues set forth in New Jersey’s laws concerning Living Wills.
